Earle Goldin
Earle joined Alterna in 2011. While at Alterna, Earle has focused his efforts on deal sourcing and structuring of aviation, high yield shipping debt and structured investments. His efforts led to the creation of Alterna’s maritime lending platform. Earle has spent more than 17 years in investment banking and private equity with a primary focus in Core Capital Assets. Formerly a Managing Director in Citigroup's Core Capital Assets investment business, he was the European Regional Head for the group. Earle has been involved in both debt and equity capital market transactions in excess of $6 billion. He received a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Business Information Systems from The University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa) and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.

Eric Press
A co-founder of Alterna, Eric has over 30 years of experience investing in Core Capital Assets. Formerly a Managing Director in Citigroup's Core Capital Assets investment business, he was Head of Global Origination for the group. With responsibility for all rail equipment investments, he led the effort to grow the rail investment to be one of the largest and most profitable bank-owned operating lessors in the United States. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from SUNY Binghamton and an M.B.A. from Tulane University.

Roger Miller
Roger is a co-founder of Alterna with over 30 years of equity investment experience. The last 20 years of his work have been focused on structured financial products and Core Capital Asset investing. Roger is a board member of Alterna’s investments in AMG Graphit Kropfmühl and Bogala Graphite. Roger is also responsible for the Global SuperTanker and Selkirk Power investments. He has led and advised on transactions related to alternative energy, commercial aircraft, industrial facilities, portfolio acquisitions and mineral resource development. Prior to co-founding Alterna, Roger was a Managing Director in Citigroup's Core Capital Assets investment business responsible for strategic initiatives. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the Montana School of Mines and a M.B.A. from Cornell University.

Paul Schaffer
Paul has over 30 years of finance and operations experience. Prior to joining Alterna, Paul spent 19 years at Citigroup, most recently as Executive Vice-President/Controller of Citigroup's Commercial Business Group. Prior to joining Citigroup, Paul worked at the accounting firm of Arthur Young, where he was a senior auditor. Paul is a C.P.A. and C.M.A., and he holds a Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York- Albany, and an M.B.A. from Fordham University, where he was awarded the Dean's Award for Academic Excellence.
Samir Patel
During his time at Alterna, Samir has focused on the high yield maritime and energy markets including managing Alterna’s maritime lending platform. Samir has spent over eight years in private equity, venture capital and investment banking. Formerly, he worked at Victory Park Capital, an alternative investment firm, providing direct financing to lower middle market companies. Samir was responsible for sourcing, analyzing, executing and managing direct private debt and equity investments across various industries. During his tenure at Victory Park, he played a key role in developing the firm’s sourcing, underwriting, and monitoring processes. Samir also worked in the Restructuring Group at Lazard Frères. He received a B.S. in Finance and Accountancy from the University of Illinois.

Anne Ullman
Anne is both the Investor Relations Manager and Office Manager for Alterna. Prior to joining Alterna in 2009, Anne spent 25 years in the fashion and toy industries in product development, business planning projects, and sales and marketing management with major retailers and manufacturers in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Anne holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Delaware in Communications and Public Relations.
Stephanie Page
Stephanie joined Alterna in 2012. Prior to joining Alterna, Stephanie received her BA in Economics from the University of Connecticut.
